Featured Model: Ivana Kamil Pacis

An 18-year-old college student and fashion model bested 28 other candidates and bagged the Miss Makati 2014 crown in the pageant's coronation night held last Thursday at the Makati Coliseum.

Ivana Kamil Pacis, a resident of Barangay Pembo and Broadcast Communications major at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, won P250,000 as cash prize and an additional P10,000 from the city government for being adjudged Best in Swimsuit during the pageant. Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay said like her predecessors, including Miss Makati 2013 Nicole Marable of Barangay East Rembo, Miss Makati 2014 will serve as the city's ambassador of goodwill who will symbolize women empowerment and represent her people to the local and international communities, helping to fire up investor confidence in the country's financial capital. Pacis is also a model under Art Personas Management. She has walked the runways of Philippine Fashion week last 2013 and 2014, modelling clothes for the country's emerging designers like Jian Lasala.

First Filipina Octagon Girl -Red Dela Cruz

The UFC today announced the addition of the company’s first Filipina octagon girl, Red Dela Cruz.

Selected from a pool of Asian applicants, Dela Cruz was formally introduced at today’s “UFC Fight Night 66: Edgar vs. Faber” open workout sessions, which took place at SM Mall of Asia’s Music Hall in Pasay, Philippines.

Dela Cruz will serve alongside longtime octagon girl Arianny Celeste at Saturday’s event, which takes place at the nearby SM Mall of Asia Arena and airs in the U.S. on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Charo Ronquillo- Vogue UK’s 10 Ford Supermodel of the World

Charo Ronquillo (born 1988) is a Filipino model. Dubbed the Asian Kate Moss. She is the first in the entire 25 year history of the Ford Supermodel of the World Search selected from the far east. She was described by Bill Ford as, “that unique look from the Philippines”.

Charo Ronquillo was featured in Vogue UK’s 10 Ford Supermodel of the World competition finalists who are making it big:

Breath-taking Beauty!- Charlene Almarvez

Charlene “Chat” Almarvez, the Filipina model who won 1st Runner-up in the 2010 Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World, was recently featured in the online magazineThe Ones 2 Watch which is devoted to featuring up and coming artists in the fashion world. The particular spread that shows our very own Charlene is called Around the World, Wahine.

Wahine is a word I’m quite familiar with since my Dad always bought my Mom the Hawaiian perfume calledWicked Wahine.

A 23- year old  graduate student from Enderun Colleges with a Marketing Major and a minor in Fashion Merchandising who does more than what we can usually think of.  She loves to get fit, write, paint, sing, and is currently into real estate.  If this isn't enough, Tia was also for several years part of the Philippine National Swimming team winning medals for our colors in international competitions.  Lately, she has been blogging and is the creative mind behind Tialishoes.

She has walked in various fashion shows in the country such as Style Origins and has been on a billboard for Noelle West Gowns.
